A newcomer to the Ickenham restaurant scene has leant a hand to one of the village's sporting youth sides.

Home Bar & Kitchen has sponsored the Under 13s Hurricanes team at Ickenham Youth Football Club.

The eatery replaced the old Fox and Geese pub on Ickenham High Road earlier this year.

Julian Zefi, manager at Ickenham Home, told Hillingdon is Here: "We are all about community spirit so we were honoured to be offered the opportunity to sponsor the IYFC kits. The boys come in with their parents after training and are a great bunch of lads, we will be cheering them on all season and proudly encouraging our regulars to cheer them on too."

Hurricanes manager Luke Bonci said: "We're delighted that Home have sponsored us for the season, the team love wearing their smart new kits. Our boys train hard in all weather and we're really proud of their determination and team spirit.

“Thanks to Home they have new kits, and a new drive to win. Home has secured itself a place at the heart of the local community and we look forward to a long and happy future in partnership with them.”
